Federal Member for Nicholls Sam Birrell MP is inviting photographers of all ages and experience levels from across the Nicholls electorate.
This year’s theme is Naturally Nicholls, celebrating the landscapes, communities and industries that make our region unique.
13 photographs will feature in the 2027 calendar, one for each month plus the front cover, with full photo credit given to every photographer selected. Free copies of the calendar will be distributed across the electorate via local newspapers in late November 2026.
“Each year I’m amazed by both the quality and quantity of entries, and I’m looking forward to seeing another outstanding collection of photographs from right across our region.” Mr Birrell said.
“Naturally Nicholls is about the landscapes, communities and industries that make our region unique. Think the Murray River, the grain silos, our main streets, local sports grounds, natural landscapes and the moments that say Nicholls to you.”
Prizes of a $200 gift card, a $100 gift card and a $50 gift card are on offer for the top three entries.
“Whether you’re an experienced photographer or just love taking photos on your phone, we want to see your best shot of this region,” Mr Birrell said.
Photos must be submitted in landscape orientation, in colour or black and white.
Entries are submitted online at sambirrell.com.au. A maximum of two entries per person is permitted. Entries close at 10:00pm on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.
“The Naturally Nicholls Calendar is a celebration of this community and the people who know it best,” Mr Birrell said.
“Every year, photographers from right across the electorate show us what makes this region worth celebrating. This is your opportunity to put your corner of Nicholls on the cover.”
