Projects
As your local member, key projects I believe that will create a better and more prosperous electorate include:
$19.5 million for Shepparton’s Clinical Health School
Building a clinical health school in Shepparton is critical to improving our region’s health outcomes by future proofing the next generation of nurses and allied health professionals.
The school would:
- Offer undergraduate and postgraduate opportunities for more people to pursue a career in health
- Provide residents with the health care services they need and deserve by increasing the number of nurses and allied health staff working in Nicholls
- Collaborate with La Trobe University and Goulburn Valley Health to provide students with training and employment opportunities for decades to come
$15 Million – Seymour Community Wellbeing Hub
$15 million has been secured from the Federal Government for this project.
This project will change lives, by directly turning around years of intergenerational disadvantage with improved access to health and mental health support alongside other community services.
$25 Million – Shepparton Sports and Events Centre
A significant upgrade is required to transform the Shepparton Sports Stadium into a state-of-the-art centre to draw regionally and nationally significant events to the region. It would also provide a fit-for-purpose facility for our growing city and allow generations to engage with health and wellbeing opportunities through sport.
$1 Million – Seymour RSL Redevelopment
Improve the lives of veterans and their families by providing a significant extension of its facilities which includes a playground and improved physical accessibility.
The Shepparton bypass has been on the agenda for too long without action.
Funding secured by The Nationals while in Government was the first step. Now the Federal government must work with the state Labor government to progress the much-needed project.
